Payroll and Direct Deposit:
We’re here to make payroll easy for you

payroll&ddLet us know how it’s easiest for you to submit employees’ hours each pay period;  phone, fax, or email are all fine for us!   You can also decide how often to pay your people – every week, every other week, semi-monthly, or monthly.  To receive pay stubs or checks, you can pick them up at our office in Marblehead, or we can send them to you by USPS mail, UPS, or courier.  You can select direct deposit for employees or have us write checks on your company’s bank account.  With Standard Plus, we also offer Total Check for additional security.

 


Taxes and Filings:
We’ll take care of it for you!

taxes&filingsOn a quarterly basis we’ll calculate your payroll taxes and file and pay the tax return with the IRS and your state’s relevant withholding and unemployment agencies.  Companies with employees in multiple states will be well served by the Standard Plus level of service.  On an annual basis, we’ll file payroll taxes with the state and federal authorities as well.  You’ll receive copies of all documents upon filing.

 


Total Check:
A great option for businesses with employees who get paid by check

totalcheckWith TotalCheck, you can turn over the responsibility of writing, distributing, and reconciling payroll checks to Commonwealth Payroll & HR.  This is a practical solution for busy business owners who have lots of employees who get paid by live check because the Total Check service includes  check fraud prevention services.

 


Mandatory Sick Time:
You won’t even have to think about it.

mandatorysicktimeAutomatically stay compliant with your state’s mandatory paid sick time laws.  We’ll set-up sick time tracking in your payroll system so that its accrual and use are properly tracked for your employees.

 


Pay-as-you-go Workers’ Compensation
  • Your workers’ compensation expenses are tied to employees’ earnings in each payroll.
  • If you choose to pay the same amount every month based on an annual estimate by your broker, you’ll have to make an adjustment at the end of the year when your final payroll numbers are available.
  • A better way to handle workers’ compensation is to pay each payroll period based on employees’ actual earnings in that period.

 

Self Service and Mobile Paystubs and W-2s

If you’re tired of handing out paystubs on Fridays or getting requests for old paystubs or copies of W-2s from employees, consider self-service and mobile paystubs as an easy solution.  Employees can access their paystubs and W-2s through a secure website and/or by downloading an app on their phone.

 

Labor Posters

Labor posters are one of those things that business owners need to have but don’t want to think about. We can help you stay compliant by mailing you posters on an annual basis or any time a law changes.  All you’ll have to do is hang them on the wall and move on to the next item on your To Do list.
